The game itself is set during the Fridays of various weeks in an unspecified year, seemingly in the 2000s.
Story Mode is the main mode of Friday Night Funkin'. In this mode, the player can choose between 7 different weeks (and the tutorial level) and select between 3 different difficulties: Easy, Normal and Hard.
Boyfriend is canonically 19 years old.
VS Whitty (more specifically VS Whitty Full Week Edition) is a Friday Night Funkin' Game Mod created by NateAnim8 , KadeDev , and SockClip . The mod, once starting as just a single original level, evolved into an entire three-song in-game Week developed by the trio.
